What We Do

The Salvation Army in Penticton is a church based organization. Our church is located at 2469 South Main Street and we welcome you to fellowship with us each Sunday morning at 10:30am. The Salvation Army is more than a church. We operate two thrift stores in town and the funds generated from these stores pay for our food bank and other services we provide in Penticton. A bi-weekly auction, great buys on clothes and special items and possibly this special gift that you have been looking for.

The Penticton Food Bank is part of our family services and well over 400 households make use of the food bank every month. In addition, our family services staff help those with special needs. Sometimes this can be fire victims who need immediate assistance, or evacuees of disasters such as the forest fires in 2017. We also assist families with help to get new furniture or clothing in case of a financial hardship.
